(Disabled Student Programs and Services)
Special Programs and Services was established in 1976 and provides a wide range of support services to over 900 students with disabilities. Many of our support services are unique to our department and not provided by other departments on campus. Our friendly and helpful staff create a warm welcoming environment.
Special Programs and Services (SP&S) and the Academic Success Action Plan (TRIO project) are programs that are designed to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to all of the educational offerings at Los Angeles Harbor College. The programs facilitates, equal opportunity through the provision of appropriate support services, curriculum, instruction and adaptive technology.
Individuals with mobility, visual, hearing, speech, learning, psychological, or other health impairments may benefit from available services. To determine your eligibility for specific support services you may call SP&S and make an appointment to speak with a SP&S Counselor.
