Transfer / Dual Enrollment Programs
Los Angeles Harbor College Nursing Program believes that a career in nursing goes hand in hand with lifelong learning. The following are some programs for continuing on to earn your Bachelor in Science Nursing degree. While you are enrolled in the nursing program at LA Harbor you will be given information and assistance with completing remaining general education courses and remaining prerequisite courses for transfer.
We have strong relationships with these programs and host a RN-BSN transfer fair each spring for all of our nursing students. This allows our students to meet with university reps in person and receive the most up to date information for transfer. We also distribute zoom information sessions that any of the BSN programs provide for our students.

General Education requirements for California State Universities (CSUs) and University of California (UCs)
The following are the most common remaining general education courses and/or prerequisite courses for transfer into a BSN program:
- Chemistry – will vary by transfer institution
- Critical thinking
- Communications – if you have not already completed before joining LAHC ADN
- Statistics – Math 227 at LA Harbor College
- Arts/Humanities – 1 or 2 remaining depending on general education pattern
