Cross-Country Teams going to STATE!

Congratulations to the Women’s Cross Country Team! - The Men and Women competed in the SCC Championship meet today.  Sherlyn Gomez placed 1st in the Women’s Race - individual Conference Champion;  Keona Mataalii placed 7th; The Women placed 3rd overall and the Men placed 5th overall. Both Teams qualify for the Southern CAL Championships in two weeks at Chaffey College. Winning the race is fantastic, finishing the race is LIFE-CHANGING. Nick, on the team, came in at the end, but he was not alone.  The Harbor team ran the last part of the race with him and ran by his side till the end.  The sportsmanship spirit was contagious, and several others joined.  It was an amazing sight to see.  Go Seahawks! The conference did an excellent write-up on Sherlyn - ”LAHC’s Sherlyn Gomez is South Coast Conference Women’s Corss Country Champ.”
