  • Make an appointment with your LAHC academic counselor to review LAHC's program.
  • Research and follow blogs and social media influencers to learn more about the real estate industry. Read magazines and books to go in depth and learn about this dynamic industry.
  • Once you're at LAHC, learn about support services such as tutoring and study labs, make sure to get involved with on-campus clubs and organizations, become a student ambassador or run for student government. These activities create new relationships and show potential employers your commitment to your education and leadership skills.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate competency in the major areas of real estate including but not limited to principles, practice, legal aspects, economics, property management, and real estate appraisal.
  • Apply knowledge of real estate law, principles, and practice to properly complete real estate documents.
  • Perform research and organize information to advance their careers as well as their own self-development.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how local, state, and federal laws and economic conditions affect the real estate environment.
  • Pass the state Department of Real Estate's salespersons exam.
  • Have the skills necessary to work in a real estate office, including the selling and listing of properties.
