Our Mission

As part of Los Angeles Harbor College, the child development Center is committed to enhancing the quality of life for students, children and families. We embrace the diversity that each student brings. The Child Development Center strives to empower individual learners through personal and professional growth. We provide a place where children learn through play, have opportunities for discovery, exploration, and expression through hands-on learning experiences.

Our Philosophy

The Harbor College Child Development Center provides young children with a caring, safe and creative preschool experience. The program's philosophy is primarily designed to allow children to develop a positive self-concept by setting up an environment of acceptance, and encouragement. The staff helps children to conceive of themselves as people who can solve problems and relate to other people effectively.
