You should plan to apply for transfer admission the year prior to when you want to transfer to a university. Do not wait until you are completely finished with your coursework before you apply! Coursework can typically be in progress/planned at the time of application. Application filing periods are listed below.

TRANSFER REMINDERS
The minimum requirement to transfer to a CSU campus, you must complete:
- 60 transferable units,
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA
- Complete the "Golden Four":
- Oral Communication (Communication Studies 101 or 102 or 122)
- Written Communication (English 101)
- Critical Thinking
- Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning

In order to be more competitive we it is recommended that you complete major prep courses and pursuing an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT).
WHERE TO APPLY
APPLICATION FEES
CSU: $70 per campus
Students may be eligible to receive an application fee waiver for 4 CSU campuses. Fee waivers are available to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and applicants eligible for AB540 benefits based on income guidelines. When completing the CSU application, your responses will be used for eligibility screening purposes. You will be notified if you qualify for the fee waiver at the end of the application process.

APPLICATION TIPS
- Don't send official transcripts once you apply. Wait until official transcripts are requested by each campus.
- CSU does not require letters of recommendation or essay prompts at the time of application.
